Thank goodness I checked my end statement because I had a charge for a drink I didn't charge. When people say to eat outside the hotel its true. I only went there bc of wolf shaped waffles my daughter wanted which they did t have. The scrabbled eggs and quiche fritta was not good at all. The breakfast at Loose Moose was expensive $66 for 2 kids and 2 adults. Too many people for me but I did it for the kids and grandson who is going into surgery. Activities games and rope activities all good very nice people managing it. Phone was not working but got fixed right away. Outlet in bathroom near sink didn't work that good. Our room 335 had a musky smell to it and windows/balcony doors don't open. Jesse is an outstanding very nice and helpful agent and I hope management hears this. We arrived at the hotel Jesse was so very helpful and professional he found us a room but not a cabin. I called spoke to agent of The Wolf lodge but she was no help at all in fact she was going to charge us $65 for changing dates and at the end of conversation there was no availability. Prior to driving up to hotel I realized or stay was booked 4 to 5 July. Being so busy I didn't check reservation via email until the day we thought we be arriving. My husband booked room with cabin and I paid using my card for 3 July 2022. We'd set our stuff in an open chair so that wasn't a problem for us. There is additional seating but good luck finding a table that people "claim" by leaving towels or drinks on. Arcade: Fun but expensive (prices go up sometime late in the afternoon evening) Also there's no Great Wolf items to select from Seating in the waterpark : didn't price but renting a cabana maybe worth it if staying in the waterpark for hours at a time. Cons: Elevator to Floor Ratio (3 to 10) : ask for a lower floor or prepare for full elevators with multiple stops. Also, easy highway access to get to areas to explore, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, etc. PLENTY to do : could get trapped doing everything and not explore much of Colorado Clean : Location Access : Didn't eat at the hotel, but there are plenty of places to eat that are easy to get to via a short drive. Pros: Attentive : plenty of lifeguards, text service if need something for room and good response time. Did not inquire but we received an email after we booked about $99 for an additional night and also heard a few adding a night onto their stay for that price. May call and ask about booking over the phone. Water park seemed smaller than the others but also everything is inside, from pool areas to ropes course, miniature golf, etc. This location is not as "lodge designed" as the others but still nice hotel. We've stayed at three lodges over the 10ish years. The other breakfast place didn’t open until 7:30 & was only sit down. We would have gone off property, but thought they opened at 6. Our kids were up by 5:30 so that was a rough wait. Dunkin’ Donuts said it opened at 6 online, but didn’t actually open until 6:30. The mini golf course is only 9 holes & just so-so. All the non-water activities are in one area so it can get crowded & be loud. The front desk staff Juan was amazing & all the staff were so friendly & helpful! Negatives: It’s very overstimulating. Rooms: Beds were comfy, clean & bathroom was very nice. A bonus was Scheels so the kids could ride the indoor Ferris Wheel. Lots of good restaurants & fast food nearby. We utilized the first aid station once for a bandaid & they were so friendly & helpful. The food at cafe is expensive so we timed our visits between meal times. This place is amazing with gorgeous views of the mountains.
